BALTIC - Baltic's Eagles (1-0) (2-2) showed a new brand of "fight" last night, bouncing from last week's defeat at the hands of Garaway to topple Gnadenhutten's tall Tribe (0-1) (0-2) in the Tuscarawas County League opener. Controlling the board, the Eagles moved out in front at halftime to stay after falling behind 9-8 at the end of the first period. And for the first time this season Coach Jim Weinsz's charges came through with an effective all-around scoring punch. Four of the five starters ended in double figures. John Rice set the pace with 19. But 13 points apiece by Larry Ladrach and GaryGerber and12 by Larry Lautenschleger were also big reasons in moving theEagles back into the win column. Ray Rank led the losers with 16 points, while Ron Clark followed with 13 and John Hall 12. Ladrach and Lautenschleger came through with yeomanwork under the boards for the victors. Baltic (4-0) also won the Reserve game by edging out Gnaden (1-1) 36-32.
