PORT WASHINGTON - Port Washington (5-4) proved to be a third period team here Saturday night when it defeated invading Roscoe. At the end of the first half, Roscoe led by 2 points. But the Purple Riders turned the tables in the third quarter and singed the nets for 18 points to take a 42-33 lead. Port had 35 rebounds and Roscoe 20 as both teams played good defensive ball under the boards. John Landon paced the Riders with 14 points. Bob Wright was high for the losers with 19 points. The Roscoe Reserves ;however, routed the Port Washington Reserves (4-5) 47-42.
