60 - Hiland Wins Third Straight 75-44 (12-2-59)

WALNUT CREEK - Hiland's Hawks continued to soar high, wide and handsome here last night when they rolled to their third straight victory, an easy romp over Baltic (2-3). The Hawks never left it in doubt that they would be final victors, rolling to a 12-7 first period lead and then literally tearing off the nets for 21 points in the second stanza to take a 33-17 halftime lead. They held a wide 50-26 margin at the third stop. Linus Miller, Bob Hochstetler and Andy Ahijavych gave the Hawks a three pronged scoring attack that resulted in 23, 18 ad 10 points, respectively. Johh Rice paced the Eagles with 16 points and Gary Gerber added 13. Hiland will be seeking its fourth straight win Friday night when it entertains Glenmont in a Holmes County League fray. The Hawks are 1-0 in loop competition after defeating Nashville a week ago. Baltic invades Strasburg Friday in a Tuscarawas County League fray with hopes of jumping back to the .500 mark. The unbeaten Baltic Reserves (5-0) edged the Hiland Reserves 22-20.
