60 - Beach City Romp 60-30 (11-28-59)

BEACH CITY - Beach City's Pirates have found Tuscarawas County cage combines easy pickings thus far in the young season. They rolled to a victory over Stone Creek (0-4) last night, for their second triumph over Tuscarawas County foes. The Pirates edged Strasburg Tuesday night. The Panthers were in the thick of the battle until midway in the third period when ace rebounder Larry Stephon was forced to leave the contest because of a sprained ankle. Beach City took a 14-9 lead at the outset and was ahead 22-16 and 36-23 at the next two stops. Dave Smith paced the Pirates with 13 points. Ed Helline chipped in with 11. High for Stone Creek was Gale Sauser with 11. The Beach City Reserves handcuffed the Stone Creek Panthers (0-3) 40-18.
