STRASBURG - All of Strasburg's heavy artillery was on target last night as the Tiger marksmen shell shocked Tuscarawas Valley (1-1).  Strasburg (2-0) started slow, leading only 20-11 at the end of the 1st period.  But Head Coach Charlie Huggins' Bengals were just in a process of sighting in.  They unleashed an unstoppable attack in the 2nd, outscoring the Trojans 25-7 in the 2nd, played them about even in the 3rd, then outscored the invaders 20-10 in the final.

In winning their 2nd game the Tigers had 4 players in double figures, topped by John Studer's 25.  Ed Rusk  and Ed  Yackey meshed 17 apiece and Charlie Jones 11, while 4 other Tigers also figured  in  the scoring.  Dick Harvey's 14 points led Tuscarawas Valley.  Altogether, Strasburg connected 33 times in 59 attempts from the field for a blistering 54 percent.  Tuscarawas Valley made 39 percent of its floor attempts.  From the foul line the Tigers hit 19 of 25 and the Trojans 13 of 25.  Studer pulled down 16 of Strasburg's 46 rebounds, while the Trojans had 47.

The Strasburg Reserves (2-0) walked all over the Tuscarawas Valley Reserves (1-1) 45-18.
