MIDVALE - There's no queston about it.  Those Midvale Blue Devils (5-3), after dropping their first 2 games, are a team to be reckoned with.  Head Coach Pete Hilliard's combine racked up its 4th straight victory last night to advance its record in storming to a 31-point victory over Conotton Valley (5-4).  The Blue Devils, who return to action Friday night when they entertain Gnadenhutten, jumped off to a 24-14 first period lead and went on to quarter margins  of 34-24 and 57-36.  Conotton Valley, doesn't play again until January 6th when it hosts New Athens in a Harrison County League game.

Lee Eberly led Midvale, scoring 20 points, followed by Mike DeMattio's 18 and Tom Booth's 17.  Ken Beamer topped the Rockets on 17.  Midvale made 32 of 80 from the field for 40 percent and 16 of 26 free throws, while Conotton Valley hit 19 of 61 field goal attempts for 31 percent and 11 of 22 foul shots.  The  Blue Devils had a 40-31 rebounding edge,  topped by Bob Carlisle and Eberly, who had 10 apiece and Booth's 8.  Beamer grabbed 11 for the Rockets.
