67 - Tuscarawas In Nod Over Malvern 68-47 (1-21-67)






TUSCARAWAS - A cold 3rd quarter by the Malvern Hornets (3-9) enabled the Tuscarawas Broncos (7-6) to notch their 7th win of the season Saturday night.  After a very close 1st half the Hornets were only able to get 5 points in the 3rd quarter.  The score was tied 13-13 at the close of the 1st quarter and the Broncos fell behind 27-26 at the intermission.  Fred Rausch led the scoring parade for the Broncos as he tallied 16 points and was followed by Brent Lehigh and John Bihari with 15 each.  The Broncos were 25 of 72 from the field and the Hornets had a cold 18 of 65.  From  the charity stripe the Broncos were 16 of 30 and the Hornets 11 of 22.  Turnovers also was a factor as a total of 56 were committed, 27 for the Broncos and 29 for Malvern.

The Tuscarawas Reserves (10-3) had blown-away the Malvern Reserves at the start of the night 67-37 for a complete Bronco sweep.
