67 - Tuscarawas County Class A Basketball Statistics

DOVER - Strasburg boasts the top defensive, top offense and top scorer in the county as the basketball season begins heading toward the February tournaments.  Head Coach Charlie Huggins' Bengals have limited the opposition to 47.4 points a game, while having scored 81.3 per outing.  Garaway is runner-up in the defensive department, having limited its foes to 49.4 points a game.  Meanwhile, the Tigers' John Studer (All-Ohio last season) is closing in on the school career scoring records.  Studer could eclilpse the 1117 record established by Joh Peters this Friday night when  the  Bengals entertain Garaway.  He paces the county on 226 points over 9 games this season.  Added to outputs of 295 as a Sophomore and 588 as a Junior it gives him 1109 points.
