Gnadenhutten High School (Indians) Basketball Scoring Ace - Dan Jinks joins the 200-Point Scoring Circle.

Tuscarawas Valley's Trojans will be seeking to break into the victory colum in the Tuscarawas  County Class A League Friday night when they entertain Gnadenhutten.  The Trojans, 2-6 overall, are 0-3 in the league, having bowed to Garaway, Midvale and Port Washington.  Members of Head Coach Bill Frye's squad are:  Dan Fishley, Jim Burkhart, Tom Shroyer, Paul Finlayson, Dave Clugston,  Tom Moore, Terry Edwards, Curt Norris, Dick Harvey and Howard Haut.  Absent were Ray Nist and Larry Adams.

DOVER - Dan Jinks of Gnadenhutten became the county's lastest addition to the 200-point circle.  Jinks, who will lead the Tribe against Dover St. Joseph tonight, topped the mark by hitting 22 points against Tuscarawas and now has 206 for the season.  Currently he is averaging 22.8 points a game and should be able to surpass 1000 career points before the 1966-67 campaign ends.  As a Sophomore he tallied 162 and followed it with 477 last season.  In addition to his current total he now has 846 points, which leaves him with 154 to pick up over the Tribe's next 9 regular season games.  It would require an average of 17-plus an outing.

Studer, who is pacing the county with 248 points, also is top man in the county league on 80 points.  His overall average is 24.8 points and his league standing is 26.7.  Jinks is 2nd at 56 points,  but has the top average, 28 per game, since the Indians have been involved in only 2 league contests.

In the Class A ranks Strasburg is the pacesetter, both offensively and defensively.  The Tigers are rolling along at a 79.5 points per game clip and keep its foes at 47.3.  Garaway is defensive runner-up of Strasburg, having held its foes to 49.4 points a game.
