67 - Tusky Waltzes To 73-35 Win Over Zane Trace (12-14-66)
TUSCARAWAS - The Tuscarawas Broncos (6-4) upon return to the hospitable confines of their gym last night put down an Indian raid by walking over Zane Trace. Tusky rolled to leads of 21-6, 38-12 and 56-21 at the quarter stops. Fred Rausch paced the uprising, scoring 19 points, while Butch Reed tallied 13. Larry Frame lead the Indians with 7 points. There were no Zane Trace players in double figures. Rausch also led the Broncos in the rebounding department, grabbing 13 of Tuscarawas' 47. Zane Trace had 36 rebounds. The Broncos cashed in 26 fielders in 67 tries for 40 percent and hit 21 of 33 from the free throw line. Zane trace connected only 14 times in 61 floor attempts for 23 percent and made 7 of 20 foul shots.
The hard-charging Tuscarawas Reserves (8-2) also waltzed to their victory against the Zane Trace Reserves 52-31.

RICHARD KING UPDATE: Carrollton Warrior Head Coach Richard (Dick) King, a Dennison High School and Muskingum University graduate resumed his 2nd year of coaching chores serving as mentor at Port Washington and Centerburg. After his 17-23 record at Port Washington, King accumulated a 72-33 record at Centerburg, with his squads copping the Central District Championship in 1964 and Runner-up honors in 1962. During his 5-year tenure at the school he was Knox County Coach of the Year in both 1962 and 1964. (Wed 12-14-66)
