67 - Scio Sends Tusky To 3rd Defeat 76-70 (12-10-66)








SCIO - The Tuscarawas Broncos (3-3) dropped their 3rd game of the young season at the hands of the Scio Panthers (3-1) by a mere 6 points.  The Broncos looked good as they held the lead at the end of the 1st stanza, 23-17 and 39-38 at the half, but dropped behind 57-53 at the 3rd quarter stop.  John Bihari had a big night for the Broncos netting 21 points and pulling in 14 of the team's 35 rebounds.  Fred Rausch also contributed 13 in the losing cause.  The Panthers had 3 men in double figures as Jim Allensworth poured in 27, while Rich Downs and RickWhite 18 had 15, respectively.  The Panthers had a hot night on the court hitting on 30 of 53 shots and 16 of 27 from the free throw line.  The Broncos were 26 of 57 from the field and 18 of 27 from the foul line.  The Broncos hope to get on the winning track again Tuesday as they entertain Zane Trace.  The Panthers will be idle until next Friday when they will host Franklin.

The Tuscarawas Reserves (5-1) remained a tough team to beat as they sent the Scio Reserves packing 42-32.
