TUSCARAWAS - Tuscarawas Valley (1-4) (3-8) ended a 4-game losing skein here last night by whipping Tuscarawas (1-3) (6-6). The Trojans never trailed in the game, except for a momentary 40-40 deadlock in the 3rd period. Tusky Valley led after the first 2 stops, 19-11 and 34-32. Tom Shroyer led the uprising, with 19 points. He was followed by Larry Adams' 14 and Dick Harvey and Dave Clugston who split 28 points. Brent Lehigh and John Bihari topped the Broncos with 16 and 12 points. The victors hit for 23 of 66 for 34 percent, while Tusky managed 19 of 86 for a cool 22 percent. From the charity stripe TV had 18 of 27 and the Broncos 16 of 21. Turnovers played a major part in the contest, as the Trojans committed 36 and the Broncos 31.
The Tuscarawas Reserves (9-3) continued their winning ways by downing the Tuscarawas Valley Reserves (6-4) 46-43.
