STRASBURG - Robert (Pete) Shahan, head basketball-track coach at Strasburg the past 2 seasons, has resigned. During Shahan's tenure, Tiger cage teams won 34 games and lost 10, including a sparkling 22-2 mark in 1963-64 when the Bengals advanced to Regional Turnament play before bowing 62-54 to Mogadore. Applications now are being accepted to fill the post which includes physical education teaching duties. Shahan's 1st coaching duties were at East Canton from 1957 to 1961. From there he went to Randolph (enar Louisville) where his teams won 2 5 games in 2 years.
