65 - Gnaden Knocks Out Newcomerstown 9-2 (4-28-65)

Newcomerstown's Danny Berger, Rick Vierholler and Mickey McKibben discuss strategy prior to taking on Gnadenhutten.  The Indians; however, had the better strategy and won 9-2.

GNADENHUTTEN - At Gnadenhutten (8-1), the host Indians decisioned Newcomerstown.  Errors played a big part in Gnaden's win over Newcomerstown.  The Indians committed 3 errors, but the Trojans made several more.  In the 2nd frame, the Tribe iced the verdict with 4 runs; although, getting  just one hit...a double by Roy Williams.  Williams also had another double.  For the Tribe in the 2nd, 2 walks and 2 passed balls, a wild pitch, 3 errors, a good squeeze bunt by Dan Jinks and Roy Williams' double provided the big runs.  Danny Berger stroked a 2-base hit for Newcomerstown.  Jim Jinks (1-0) was the winning pitcher, fanning 5 and walking one.  VanDusen was the loser, striking out 3, passing 3 and hitting one batsman.
