NEW PHILADELPHIA - Dover St.Joseph's (4-15) made a great effort for its 1st post-season win since 1955, but turnovers, lack of rebounding strength and some uncanny shooting on the part of Dennison (11-6) turned the tide.  The 2 teams matched bucket for bucket...the score was tied 7 times and the lead changed hands on 10 occasions...before the Railroaders broke the game open in the 3rd quarer by outscoring the Ramblers 12-2 in one stretch.  Tom Connor's Railroaders made a bid to move away from the Ramblers late in the 2nd stanza when they popped in 8 straight points for a 35-30 lead.  But, Art Teynor's lads came fighting back and pulled to within one point, 37-36, early in the last period before the decision was settled.  Sohomore Denny Capozella kept the Ramblers in contention in the 1st frame, rimming 5 of 6 shots from 20 feet or more away.  Mickey McCracken tossed in a goal and 2 fouls and Jeff Lammers 3 charities as the Ramblers took a 17-15 lead at the initial rest.  Dave Bridgeman, held scoreless for the first 8 minutes, found the range for 3 field goals in the 2nd stanza to spur the Railroaders to a 37-34 half-time margin.  Dean Green's deuce from in close at 2:32 put Dennison on top for keeps, 31-30.  Balance scoring enabled Dennison to hold the upper hand in the 3rd canto, the count reading 55-44 going into the final frame.  Slick Greg Goodrich then exploded for 15 of his 29 points to keep the Railroaders out of reach.  Jim Povick, 6-3 and 200-plus pounds, displayed some nice touches from around the key for Dennison.  Although he had 4 personal fouls at 5:10 of the 3rd period he was able to get by until 2:56 in the last canto.  During that time; however, he popped in 10 points and ended the night with 21.  Bridgeman got 11, Green 9 and George Dryden 8, all from out front.  Denny Capozella finished strong, notching 11 tallies in the final frame after going scoreless in the 3rd and getting just 2 in the second.  This gave him 23 for the tussle.  McCracken had 16, 10 in the last period, Lammers 15 and Larry Smith 10.  Dennison fired in 33 of 64 floor flings for a hot 51 percent and made 14 of 19 fouls.  St. Joseph's hit on 27 of 61 from the field for 44 percent and canned 16 of 29 charities.  Rebounds favored the Railroaders, 23-19, with Povick grabbing 8 and Green 6.  Lammers and Smith both snared 5.  Turnovers "favored" Dennison, 22-14.
