65 - Ridgewood Nips Error Prone Gnaden 5-4 (4-10-65)





WEST LAFAYETTE - Ridgewood (1-0) parlayed 5 unearned runs into a victory over Gnadenhutten (0-1) here Friday.  The Generals pushed across 4 runs on 3 walks, a 3-base error and a wild pitch  in the 2nd stanza.  Gnadenhutten scored once in the 1st frame, twice in the second and 2 more in the final frame to tie the count.  Bill  Kohl (0-0) started for the Indians, Terry Huebner (0-0) coming on in the 2nd and Dan Jinks (0-1) in the seventh.  The Generals' final run was on a squeeze bunt.  Roy Williams had a triple and a single and Gene Bates 2 singles in Gnadenhutten's 7-hit attack.
