John Peters graduated from Strasburg High School in 1964.
STRASBURG - John Peters, a 5-10 Sophomore from Strasburg, is fighting for one of the starting guard positions on the Otterbein College basketball team. Peters is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Foster Peters, RD 1, Strasburg. Peters earned a letter with the Otterbein cage team during his Freshman year when the Cardinals compiled a 16-9 record and were runner-up in the Ohio Conference Tournament. Otterbein opens the 1965-66 action December 1 against Miami University at Oxford. A highlight of this season will be a 3-game trip to Hempstead, New York, where they will meet Adelphi College, Hofstra College, and the University of New Hampshire. John Peters was the 1st player at Strasburg to score over 1000 points. He ended his career there with 1117 points.
