STRASBURG - Strasburg High's baseballers (5-0) "tuned up" for Tuesday's District Tournament battle with unbeaten Powhatan by whipping Tuscarawas (2-4) Friday. The undefeated Tigers clubbed losing pitcher Dave Paisley (2-2) and his reliever, Tim Reed (0-1) for 8 hits. Ron Lab had a triple and single and Terry Spidell 2 doubles for Pete Angelo's aggregation. Lab received credit for the victory (1-0), working the last 3 innings. Larry Jones (0-0) started with Gene Bayer (0-0) taking over in the 3rd. The trio gave up 4 hits, walked 4 and struck out 8. Tuscarawas' hurlers passed 4 and fanned 8.
