65 - Down The Line With Dan Kopp
Tuscarawas Valley High School Head Basketball Coach - Bill Frye
DOVER - There will be many changes in the county coaching ranks next school term, what with consoidations, mergers and resignations. One of the changes will find Bill Frye taking over the basketball reins at Tuscarawas Valley in place of Ken Gold who resigned to devote fulltime to other duties in the school system. This will be Frye's initial attempt at running the entire show. Larry Foltz has been moved up from the Freshmen level to be Frye's assistant. Frye is a comparative newcomer to the coaching ranks, having graduated from Ohio University just 3 years ago. He handled the Junior High squad at Tuscarawas Valley 2 seasons and this past campaign guided the Reserves to an 8-10 record. Trojan officials, fans and students are very pleased that Frye will be their new coach. Although he hasn't had much experience, he is a hard worker and knows his business. A 24-year-old bachelor, Frye was graduated from Huron High near Sandusky in 1958. Good luck Bill and the Trojans.
