LEESVILLE - Gnadenhutten High's baseballers (12-2) hiked some already fat batting averages yesterday en route to a conquest of Conotton Valley.  Coach Ted Martin's crew has 7 hitting above the .300 level and last night pounded out 18 hits to score in every inning but the 3rd.  Senior Jim Jinks (2-0) went the 1st 4 innings for the Tribe to receive credit for the victory.  Sophomore Wayne Martin (0-0) mopped up as  Martin wanted him to gain experience for the future.  The duo allowed 5 hits, walked 6 and fanned 9.  John Whitehair, the 1st of 3 Rocket hurlers, was the loser.  The Indians received 9 passes and whiffed 4 times.  Roy Williams and Martin each had a double (3)(2) and 2 singles (6)(6).  Gary Rice had 3 singles (6) and Ray Williams had a double (3) and single (4) for the Tribe.  All of Conotton Valley's safeties were singles.  Batting averages of the Indians are:  Gene Bates .348, Terry Huebner .340, Ray Williams and Rice .333, Roy Williams .325, Fred Glass .315 and Martin .302.  The Seniors  on  the Gnadenhutten nine now have played 96 games and sport a glistening 84-12 record.
