GNADENHUTTEN - A 6-run 6th inning enabled Gnadenhutten (13-2) to overcome Tuscarawas Valley (1-4) yesterday. The key hit in the decisive inning was a bases loaded triple (1) by Gene Bates who also had 2 singles (6)(7). Teammates Jim Jinks also had a pair of singles (4)(5), as did Trojan Dan Burrier (3)(4). Jinks (3-0) was the winning pitcher, relieving Bill Kohl (5-1) in the 4th with 2 outs. Smith (0-2), the 2nd of 3 Trojan hurlers, was the loser.
