65 - Baltic's Tango Grand Slam Defeats Hiland 8-5 (5-6-65)





BALTIC - Ken Tango slammed a Grand Slam Home Run in the final frame yesterday to give Baltic (1-4) a baseball victory over Hiland.  Scoring ahead of the 2-out blast were Bob Hummel, Dave Hartman and Keith Miller who had reached on a walk, error and single, respectively.  Ron Maurer (1-2), who took over for Tim Richardson (0-0) in the 5th, was the winning pitcher.  The duo allowed 5 hits, walked one and struck out 7.  John Hockstettler, the 3rd of 4 Hawk pitchers, absorbed the loss.  Also hurling were starter Troyer, Starner and Don Yutzy.  They allowed 9 hits, passed 3 and whiffed 8.  Hartman had a  and Miller 3 singles for the Eagles  of Coac h Rich Polczynski.  Miller  had 4 hits for Hiland.
