66 - Gnadenhutten Rips Lakeland 66-57 (1-4-66)

FREEPORT - Gnadehutten (3-6) all but ran Lakeland's Raiders (5-4) off the court last night in notching a well deserved victory.  The Indians, who will host Tuscarawas Vallely (2-5) Friday, worked for about 20 layups as they completely solved Lakeland's defensive tactics.  It was sweet revenge for the Oren Thompson-coached Indians who lost 70-47 to this same Lakeland quintet November 30 at Gnadenhutten.  Dan Jinks, the leading scorer in the Tuscarawas County area with 209 points going into the game, took honors again with 27 points.  He got help from Bill Kohl with 12 and Mike Kail with 9.  High for the charges of Coach Gary Caviness was Freshman whiz Denny Luyster with 18 points Bob Bardall had 16.  Gnadenhutten also dominated the boards, leading 44 to 34 in rebounds.  Kohl snared 21 and Jinks 11.  Luyster pulled in 11 for Lakeland and they are set to host Jewett Friday.

Gnadenhutten hit on 26 of 50 action shots for a blistering 52 percent and made 14 of 20 fouls.  Lakeland was 24 of 79 from the floor and 9 of 13 from the foul lines.  Many of Lakeland's floor shots were hurried and taken far out.  The Gnadenhutten Indians nipped the Lakeland Reserves, 34-32.
