66 - Ken Mast Is Coach Of The Year
BERLIN - Ken Mast, 1944 graduate of Sugarcreek-Shanesville High School (now Garaway), has been named coach of the Year for District 22 of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Mast, brother of Hiland Coach Abe Mast, piloted Bluffton College to a 17-6 record this season. He has been head basketball coach and head football coach at Bluffton for 14 years, going there after graduating from Heidelberg following service in the navy. He also served as head track coach there until 2 years ago. He has turned out some excellent football and track teams in addition to his basketball work.
