66 - Gnaden Splits 2 at Carrollton (4-16-66)





GNADENHUTTEN  Gnadenhutten High's baseballers (1-3) split their twin bill with Carrollton Saturday, winning the opening game for the Ted Martin-coached Indians, scattering 8 hits, while walking 9 and striking out 12.  The loser was Bahalik who gave up 7 hits, walked 3 and fanned 9.  Mike Kail and Dan Jinks both had a double and single for the Indians, with Kail driving in 3 runs.

Kail, Steve Moore and Jinks shared mound duties in the 2nd outing, permitting 13 hits, while walking 2 and whiffing 7.  The winner was Scaceit who gave up 4 hits, struck out 16 and passed 3.  Kohl had 2 runs batted in for the Indians and Stont and Scacett each had a double for Carrollton.
