66 - Dan Andreas Named MVP

Garaway High School's talented Dan Andreas wins Most Valuable Player in the Tuscarawas County Class A Basketball League.

DOVER - Dan Andreas, extremely talented 6-4 Senior from Garaway, received the top honor from the coaches of the Tuscarawas County Class A Basketball League Saturday...he was named the league's Most Valuable Player.  Andreas, an All-District and All-Ohio performer last season and a good bet for more of the same this time around, was a unanimous selection for the All-Star Team as were teammate Jim Young, Gnadenhutten's Dan Jinks, Midvale's Harvey Byers and Bill Hibbs and Strasburg's John Studer and Ed Yackey.  Others on the team are Dave Paisley of Tuscarawas, Rich Fillman of Port Washington and Terry Gerber of Garaway.  Andreas and Young are repeaters, being the only Juniors on last season's All-County aggregation.
