66 - Hiland Brings Down Garaway 6-3 (4-19-66)





SUGARCREEK - Hiland got 2 runs in the 1st, 2nd and 6th innings yesterday to whip Garaway (3-1-1).  Waraes was the winning pitcher, getting last-inning help from Galen Swartzentruber.  They allowed 5 hits, struck out 9 and walked 7.  Dan Andreas (0-1) took the loss giving up 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 5.

Hiland's first-inning runs came on a walk to Art Miller, a double by Swartzentruber and an error.  In the 2nd Waraes and Art Miller walked, moved up on stolen bases and scored on an error.  In the 6th Stutzman walked and Clark and Art Miller singled.  Garaway scored in the 3rd on walks to Greg Troyer and Dan Andreas and a double (1) by Brian Crilow.  In the 6th Tim Miller and Rich Richardson walked and an error let in  a run.
