66 - John Studer and Dan Andreas All-Ohio

Garaway High School (Pirates) All-Ohioan, 6-4 Senior "Dan Andreas".


COLUMBUS - John Studer, who burned the nets for 586 points in leading Strasburg to a 17-6 record, today was named to the Associated Press Class A All-Ohio Basketball Team.  The 6-3 Junior led Tuscarawas County and area scorers, pulled in more than 350 rebounds and had more than 125 assists...passes that led directly to a field goal.  Studer recently was named to the County League All-Star Team and also to the AP Eastern District All-Star aggregation.  He scored 30 or more points 7 times and was under 20 just once.

Dan Andreas, a 6-4 Senior from Garaway, heads the second unit after being on the 1st team a season ago.  He poured in 508 points this campaign and also was a strong rebounder and had numerous assists.  Andreas was named the Most Valuable Player in the County League.

The stars who make up the first three teams were chosen from the 6,000-plus Class A scholastic cagers who performed this year.  The Associated Press Class A All-Ohio 1965-66 Basketball teams:
