66 - Gene Bayer Of Strasburg No-Hits Tuscarawas 4-0 (4-18-66)

STRASBURG - Gene Bayer (2-0) of Strasburg used a lot of breaking pitches yesterday to "break the backs" of Tuscarawas batters (1-1) in a no-hit victory for the Tigers (2-1).  Bayer struck out 8 and walked 2.  Dave Paisley (1-1) absorbed the loss, with Butch Reed (0-0) hurling the last 2 innings.  They struck out 5 and walked 2.  Strasburg scored once in the 1st frame on a walk to Gary Feller, a single (1) by Dave Keller and walks to Bob Welling and Ed Yackey.  In the 5th, 3 runs crossed the plate as Bayer singled (2) and was safe as Mike Reiger reached on a fielder's choice, Feller rached on an error, Keller doubled (1) and John Studer singled (1).  Strasburg is coached by Pete Angelo.
