ZOARVILLE - Tusky Valley's Trojans (4-10) handed Dover St. Joseph's (1-14) another setback last night with a 21-point win in the Trojan gym. TV was never headed in the battle, which saw them mount up leads of 23 midway in the final quarter. At that point, both coaches gave the second-liners an opportunity to see action. After a quick 2-2 tie, the Trojans took 19-9, 35-21 and 56-36 quarter leads. Tom Shroyer led the Tusky Valley attack with 14 points. He had strong support from Dave Clugston with 13, Jim Burkhart with 12 and Larry Adams 10. Denny Capozella was the only Rambler to break double figures, potting 16 for game honors. TV fired 38 percent of its 70 field goal attempts, making 27. The Ramblers had 17 of 56 for 32 percent. From the line the victors made 15 of 22 and St. Joseph's 14 of 30. Tuscarawas Valley outrebounded St. Joe 40-30. Shroyer led the Trojans with 11, while Capozella had 7 for the Ramblers. St. Joseph's was whitled for 12 turnovers and TV 14.
Tuscarawas Valley Reserves (7-6) copped the preliminary against the St. Joseph's Reserves 42-30. Dave Varsan led the Trojans with 8, while Bill Lewis of St. Joe had a like number.
