Other support is contributed by Charlie Jones, 6-3 sharp-shooter, from outside and Ed Rusk, 6-1 Junior southpaw, who likes to shoot from the side. Ed Yackey supplies strength under either backboard and Mike Reiger is counted on to start the offensive plays. Gene Bayer 6-3 Senior swingman supplies ackup depth at either forward or center positions and is a consistent scorer. The Purple Riders boast 4 players in the double scoring column as Tim Page (212), Greg Bender (231), Jeff Huston (237), Jerry Stephens (238) and Jim Hagen (148) add extra caution to opponents' defenses.

The Broncos of Head Coach Lyle Matlick have an 11-7 season record and are paced by high scoring 6-1 Junior Brent Lehigh and 6-3 Senior, John Bihari. Lehigh has nicked the nets for 259 markers this season and Bihari garnered 251, along with outstanding rebound work. Fred Rausch is considered the running mate of Lehigh as he has also passed the 200 scoring mark for the current season. Butch Reed is counted on for outside shooting and running the offensive machine, as he is adept at setting up plays. Bill and Jim McCauley are counted on for able support as well as Les Donahue. The Trojans enter tourney warfare with a 3-15 record and are led by Ron Hurst (211) and Jeff Schmidt (208). Both lads are possessors of good offensive moves and can hit from anywhere on the floor. Whit Parks and Bruce Widder, along with Duke DeLong, round out the group to carry most of the load. Others to enter the lineup are Rich Calhoun, Randy Addey and Bob Ripley.
