DOVER - Among the interested spectators at last Saturday night's Strasbug-Conotton Valley basketball game was former Tiger and Stone Creek mentor Ed McGlumphy. Ed is coaching in Hickory, PA now and has a team that's battling for its league championship. Due to the fact there were no big games scheduled last weekend he and the family decided to visit father-in-law Vernon Hisrich of Stone Creek for a non-basketball weekend. It didn't quite pan out that way because the Hisrichs had already made plans to attend the Strasburg game and the McGlumphy's changed theirs accordingly.
Don Durham, the former Port Washington basketball coach, has a hot team at Green High School this season. Green, where one-time Strasburg tutor Chuck Caniford is principal, had an 11-3 record entering last weekend's action.
