67 - Lake Bombs Tuscarawas Valley 83-48 (2-10-67)








LAKE - Head Coach Bill Frye's Tuscarawas Valley Trojans (5-11) ran into a hot group of Lake Blue Streaks and came out on the short end of a 40-point defeat.  Lake, in utilizing the fast break for basket after basket, opened up quarter leads of 16-8, 31-19 and 50-33.  Curt Norris was the only Trojan able to hit double figures with 11.  Patterson had 16 for the victors.  Paul Bowers had 15, Price 13 and Essig 11.  TV hit 20 of 68 from the field for 30 percent, while Lake made 28 of 58 for 48 percent.  From the line, the Trojans had 8 of 24 and Lake 27 of 34.  Lake outrebounded the Troymen 47-35.  Jim Dunn had 21 for the victors, while Norris and Tom Shroyer had 9 apiece for Tusky Valley.  TV was guilty of 24 turnovers, while  Lake was whistled for 16.

The Lake Reserves started the sweep earlier in the night by slugging the Tuscarawas Valley Reserves (7-8) 56-45.
