62 - Garaway Coasts To 64-24 Victory Over Stone Creek (11-23-61)

SUGARCREEK - Garaway's hot-shooting Pirates (2-0) raced away to a 16-3 first quarter lead and were never stopped Wednesday as they coasted to their second straight win of the season, a decision over visiting Stone Creek (0-2).  Coach Glenn Bower's Pirates ripped the cords at a 44 percent pace from the field, cashing in on 22 of 50 attempts, while the Panthers could manage only 7 field goals in 40 attempts, a very cold 17 percent.  Don Deetz, who as a Sophomore is showing his elders how, popped in 19 points on 8 fielders and a trio of foul shots to lead all scorers.  Dan Bleininger added 14 points to the Pirates' scoreboard.  Don McAfee cashed in with 9 points to lead the Panthers.  No report of a Reserve game.
