61 - Gnaden Pitching Leads To 5-1 Win (4-22-61)
GNADENHUTTEN - Gnadenhutten (3-1) racked up its third county league victory yesterday with a 5-1 triumph over Strasburg (1-3) (1-4). Gary Conway (2-1) hurled for the Tribe, limiting Strasburg to 4 hits, while fanning 13 and walking only one. Jim Clymer (0-3) pitched for Strasburg, giving up 9 hits and not issuing a walk. Conaway came through with a big hit in the fifth with the score tied 1-1 as he unleashed a double to drive in 2 runs. He also had a single, while John Rauzi had 3 for 4, including a double, and Glen Miller had 2 for 3. Dan Sliffe led the Bengals with 2 hits, while Vic Gessner had a double in the first inning that drove in the lone run.
