AUGUSTA - The Tuscarawas Broncos (0-1) outscored Augusta by 17 points in the last quarter only to fall in the opening game of their season. Coach Al Miller's Broncos could not get off the launching pad as they trailed 15-3 and 32-16 at the first two halts. After intermission Tusky was a different team, outscoring the hosts the rest of the way. But, the margin was hard to overcome. Veteran Phil Meese, the only regular back from last year, led Tusky with 22 points, while Sam DeVault and Wes Crawford led the Blue Devils with 15 and 20 points, respectively. The Tuscarawas Reserves (1-0) topped the Augusta Reserves 40-39.
