61 - Dover "B" Nine Scores 5-0 Victory Over Strasburg Club (3-30-61)
STRASBURG - Working behind the pitching of front line hurlers Cal Woods and Bob Becker, Dover High's "B" team defeated Strasburg (0-1) in a practice game yesterday at the Tigers' Franklin Field. Woods hurled the initial 3 innings of the 7-inning contest, with Becker, a southpaw, going the remainder of the distance. They combined to limit the Tigers to one hit, a single by Jim Clymer, and sruckout 16. Jim Sweitzer had the big blow for Dover when he tripled in the 6th inning off Clymer. Clymer (0-1), a Junior, and Freshman David Dayton (0-0) handled the pitching chores for the youthful Strasburg team, yielding 7 hits.
