MIDVALE - Neal Beans (2-0) went the route for the Blue Devils in posting the win, allowing only 4 hits, while fanning 8 and walking one. Bob Raber (1-1) took the loss, giving up 6 singles, fanning 6 and walking 3. Beans also played a big part in the offense with a double and single, while both Bob Byers and Bill Kaderly swatted 2-baggers. Bud Yakley and Porter slammed doubles for the Pirates with Tom Andreas connecting for a triple.
