STONE CREEK - There was simply no stopping the loud-smashing bats of Garaway (1-1) yesterday. The Pirates banged 8 extra-base hits, 5 doubles and 3 triples, in a 14-hit attack. Leading the parade were Dan Bleininger with a pair of triples and Bud Yakley with 2 doubles. Bob Raber banged 2 singles and a double, Tom Andreas 2 singles and a double and Jarret Gray a single and a triple. Andreas (1-0) hurled for Garaway, fanning 7 and walking 5, while limiting the Panthers to 2 hits, one a double by Jim Barker, who led off the first inning. Larry Stephon (0-2) started and went 6 innings for Stone Creek (0-4) with Ed Wallace (0-1) coming on in the 7th. They struck out 5 and walked 3.
