DENNISON - Strasburg (1-18), which ended by dropping 18 straight games since defeating Fairless in its season opener, made a game effort to stop its losing ways against Tuscarawas (13-6). Down 11-3 at the outset of the battle, the Tigers came back and were behind only 13-12 at the end of the first quarter. The Bengals moved to a 16-14 lead early in the second stanza, but Chet Summers hit 2 goals and Phil Meese in consecutive order to give the Broncos a 20-18 lead, one they never relinguished. Summers, with a flash jump shot, led the broncos with 25 points, while Ben Metzger followed with 8. Jim Clymer paced Strasburg with 17 points and Adrian Edie was right behind with 15. The Tiger connected 21 times in 68 tries from the field for 30.8 percent andmade 13 of 24 foul shots. It was reported in "Down The Line" with Norm Singleton that the shot that stopped the tournament in its tracks was the long heave made by Adrian Edie of Strasburg. His shot carried high into the superstructure of the Dennison gym, crashing the top of a light shade, and the contents. It took nearly a half hour before the game was resumed.
