SUGARCREEK - Tuscarawas Valley (6-3) unloaded 4 runs in the second inning, but could not hold onto the lead, to fall out of the running in its bid to repeat as District Champion. Don Crilley (1-1) went the distance for the Trojans, permitting 6 hits, striking out 7 and walking 2. John Fantin toiled for Newcomerstown, permitted 5 hits, walked 5 and fanned 4. Ron Lake, Mike Widder and Rod Cropper all counted 2-baggers for Tusky Valley, while John Berg smacked a Home Run for Newcomerstown and Paul Grimm 2 doubles.
