TUSCARAWAS - A playoff will be necessary to determine the champion of the Tuscarawas County class A Baseball League Champion for this spring. Strasburg and Garaway both posted lopsided wins Tuesday to end deadlocked for the top spot in the circuit with identical 6-1 slates. Strasburg socked Tuscarawas. Ron Lab went the route for the Tigers (6-1) (10-2), walking 2 and striking out Twelve. Jeff Maxwell (1-3) was the loser, passing 7 and fanning four. Both teams committed 6 errors. John Peters had a Home Run (2) and a triple (1), his 3-bagger coming with 2 on in the 2nd stanza; Rock VanFossen slapped a 2-run triple (1) in the 7th inning and Lab had a double (4) for Strasburg. Mexwell had 2 doubles (4) and Jerry Schupp a triple (1) for Tuscarawas (5-3) (4-6).
