64 - Gnaden Rocks Stone Creek 9-4 (4-14-64)





STONE CREEK BASEBALLERS.  Members of Stone Creek High's baseball team this season are:  FIRST ROW - Manager Linus Kilchenman (left), Jesse Smitley,  Vic Turner, Jim Wherley, Jim  Hisrich, Dan Hawk and Ed Dryden.  SECOND ROW - Coach Jeff Abrecht (left), Dave Burrier, Bob Burrier,  John Feller, John Bihari, Tim Baab, Harry Deibel, Roger Weber and Coach Charles Huggins.

GNADENHUTTEN - The Gnadenhutten Indians (1-1) rocked the Stone Creek Panthers (0-2) 9-4 in Tuscarawas County Class A Baseball League Tournament play Tuesday.  Jim Jinks (1-0) took the win for the Indians, taking over for Don Garret (0-0) in the 3rd.  The duo gave up 10 hits, walked 7 and fanned 10.  Gene Bates was 3-3, including a pair of triples and Roy Williams, Dan Williams, Bruce Kohl and  Larry Rentsch all had 2 hits for the Indians.  Baker had a triple and John Feller a double for the Panthers.
