64 - Kohl Top Player At Gnaden
Gnadenhutten High School (Indians) All-Star (Bruce Kohl)
GNADENHUTTEN - Statistics compiled before tournament action reveal that Senior Bruce Kohl was the most efficient basketball player at Gnaden High this season. The 6-3 sharp-shooter potted 266 points for an average of 13.3 per game, played in 79 quarters, hauled down 217 rebounds, made 62 assists, shot 43 percent from the floor and 66 percent from the foul lines and was in all 20 contests.
Larry Rentsch had 195 points in 19 games, an average of 10.3 per clash, hauled down 194 rebounds, made 17 assists, shot 31 percent from the floor and 50 percent from the foul lines.
The 3rd top scorer was Gene Bates. He got 159 points, an average of 10.6 per outing, grabbed 52 rebounds, made 10 assists and was 40 percent and 59 percent in fielders and free tosses respectively.
Terry Huebner's totals showed 119 points for 6.3 an engagement, 62 rebounds, 47 assists and 33 and 40 percent in shooting.
The figures on Gary Rice reveal 82 points for 4.3 a game, 47 rebounds, 53 assists and 31 and 50 percent in shooting.
Don Garrett tallied 94 points or 4.9 per outing, had 39 rebounds, made 39 assists and shot 40 and 48 percent respectively.
Rick Fellers had 54 points, an average of 3.6 a battle, grabbed 10 rebounds, made 10 assists and shot 36 and 54 percent respectively.
Bill Kohl had 105 points for 8.8 a tussle pulled in 68 rebounds, made 29 assists and shot 39 and 66 percent in fielders and charities respectively.
On the minue side---turnovers---Huebner committed 80, Bruce Kohl 74, Rentsch 65, Rice 56, Garrett 43, Bill Kohl 35, Bates 32 and Fellers 18.
