64 - Gnaden Tops Tuscarawas 3-1 (4-16-64)





TUSCARAWAS HIGH SCHOOL (Broncos):  ROW 1 - Jerry Grove, F. Smith, A. Honald, Chuck Reichman, B. Conklin and C. Cox.  ROW 2 - G. Cerana, Jerry Schupp, Russ Ashkettle, Jeff Maxwell, Phil Caldwell and R. McWilliams.  ROW 3 - T. Johnson, J. Grant, Ivan Summers and Fred Burmich.

TUSCARAWAS - The Gnadenhutten Indians (2-1) upended Tuscarawas (0-1) in Tuscarawas County Class A League Baseball Tournament action Thursday.  Freshman Bill Kohl was the winning moundsman for Ted Martin's Indians, permitting 5 safeties, passing 5 and whiffing 13.  The loser was Jeff maxwell who was reached for 5 hits, walked 4 and fanned 8.  The Tribe, which played errorless ball, got all of its markers in the 1st inning.  The big blow was a 2-run double by Larry Rentsch.  The Broncos tallied its run in the fifth.
