GNADENHUTTEN - The Midvale Blue Devils (2-0) will represent the Tuscarawas County Class A League in Sectional baseball tournament play next week. This was assured Thursday as Midvale slapped Tuscarawas Valley (1-2). Midvale got 3 markers in the 3rd, as many in the 5th and added another in the 6th in tripping Tuscarawas Valley at Gnadenhutten. Gene Belba (1-0) went the route for the win, allowing 4 hits, walking 2 and whiffing 9. Dave Widder (0-1) started, Gary Adams (0-0) coming on. The duo walked 2, fanned 3 and was touched for 7 safeties. Don Ickes slammed a 3-run Home Run and Tom McPherson and Hawkins slapped doubles for Midvale. All Trojan hits were singles.
