64 - Peters Cops Scoring Race In A Loop







DOVER - John Peters of Strasburg nosed out Midvale's Dean DeMattio for the indivdual scoring crown in the Tuscarawas County Class A Basketball League, unofficial statistics reveal.  Peters, a strong candidate  for All-Ohio honors, poured  in 190 points in 8 loop outings for an average of 23.7 per clash.  Demattio, also an All-State possibility, tossed in 183 for an average of 22.8 per contest.  Strasburg and Midvale shared the league championship and shared honors with 7-1 slates.
