PORT WASHINGTON - Don Durham's Port Washington High School Purple Riders (1-3) (1-4) whipped Baltic (0-4) (0-5) here Thursday in a Tuscarawas County Class A Baseball League contest for their 1st win of the season.  Steve Bender (1-0) took the win, allowing 3 hits, walking none and fanning 13.  Meitzler (0-4) was the loser, surrendering 4 safeties, passing 5 and striking out 6.  Port Washington slugger Senior Jim Bates had a pair of doubles.  Tim Meitzler and Tim Richardson both had 2-baggers for Baltic.
