61 - Garaway Nabs 2nd Victory At Warsaw 73-67 (11-21-60)


WARSAW - Garaway's Pirates (2-0) broke a 17-17 first period deadlock early in the second frame to take a lead it never relinquished and scored a victory over the Warsaw Pirates (0-1) here Saturday night.  Bob Raber led the triumph with 28 points, connecting for 13 field goals.  Dan Bleininger followed with 18 and Tom Andreas fired 10.  Larry Kilpatrick was the big man for Warsaw with 19 points.  Tom Finlay scored 17 and Dave Wright 17.  Coach Glen Bower's Pirates lost 2 starters in the fourth period when Roy Yoder and Bill Yakley left the game with their fifth personal fouls.  Garaway made 28 of 53 shots from  the field for 52.8 percent and Warsaw 20 of 62 for 32.3 percent.  Warsaw connected for 27 foul shots.  Again, the Reserve game was not reported by The Daily Reporter.
