61 - Port Washington Purple Riders 1960-1961 Time Machine

PORT WASHINGTON - Officers of the Port Washington High School Student Council:  Carole Ross (President), Nancy Heston (Vice-President), Martha McMullen (Secretary), and  Lana Glazer (Treasurer).  Members of the Tuscarawas County Conference on school public relations were School Board President Edward Dichler, Superintendent John Toth, Coach Richard King and Assistant Coach Neil Compton.  The Purple Riter newspaper department heads included:  Judy Taylor (Editor), Donna Rankin (Assistant), Carole Ross (Music Editor), Janet Gray (Assistant), Alvin Fillman (Sports Editor), Robert Kenney (Assistant), and Loren Tedrow (Business Manager).  The staff of the Golden Years yearbook included:Sharon Gossett (Editor), Donna Rankin (Assistant), Robert Dumermuth (Music Editor), William Phillips (Sports Editor), Carol McMullen (Assistant), Jim Hannahs and Frances Shalosky (Advertising), Glen Murphy (Business Manager) and Judy Taylor (Assistant).

Cheerleaders included:  Varsity - Pat Jones, Carole Ross, Janet Gray and Myrna Landon.  Junior Varsity - Betty Lewis, Susan Nigro, Mary Martin and Lana Glazer.  Junior High - Mary McCune, Marsha Casteel, Sheryl Fillman and Glenna Bassett.
